12-8-24 “Good Guilt, Bad Guilt” Scriptures
Two types of guilt: Biblical and false
Biblical Guilt defined as: a feeling of deserving blame for offenses
John 16:8; When He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment
Dispensation: acting on a system of revealed commands and promises regulating human affairs
Romans 8:1 & 13:2; 8 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
Psalm 103:12; As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Isaiah 38:17; “Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
False Guilt defined as: feelings of deserving blame especially for imagined offenses or from a sense of inadequacy
Matthew 16:21 ~ 23; From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day. 22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.” 23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.”
Romans 14:22; The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
Philippians 3:8; More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ
Philippians 3:9~ 11; and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Romans 8:29 ~ 30 & Romans 5:1 ~ 2; 29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. … 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
Justified: declared no longer guilty
1st John 4:1; Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
